Honor Thy Children (Save The World)

In college, I wrote this paper called "Honor Thy Children" for a Psychology class. When my professor told me I should have it published, I was both proud of my work and sad that such truths needed to be published. The saddest part is that those truths still need to be brought to light, and that paper was unfortunately one of many things my family lost when our previous home flooded. The overall premise of the paper was that Moses had lost or forgotten one of his tablets on his way down that mountain because commandment #11 should have been to Honor Thy Children.

How Do I Forgive Myself?

"I was wondering if you could help me understand how to forgive myself. My childhood was not that great, and I try my best to be a good mother to my children but make a lot of mistakes. I've read a lot of books on how to be a better parent, and I'm doing much better, but I can't get over the things I've done in the past. My children have forgiven me, but I can't forgive myself." ~ Anna

Christmas with Family

You don't want to reopen your own wounds, but I feel like you take a greater risk by not going. The best course of action would be to focus on the spirit of the season ... faith, joy and love.

Roman Polanski Sick & Wrong

Roman Polanski needs to pay for his crime in whatever way the judicial system deems fair. Does he need therapy? Probably. Does he deserve prison? That's not for me or anyone but a judge to decide. Of course, if you'd look inside my head, you'd see a big YES! there. Roman Polanski may or may not be a good person - that's not what's being debated here. The point is that the man's actions were sick and wrong. In my book, this is one area in which it is never okay look the other way.
