Homework from Heaven – Part 1

More often than not, at some point during their readings, my clients will be given homework by the angels in the form of what I have come to call “The List Assignment.”  This assignment can be used to improve any area of your life that may not be what you currently want it to be – career, relationship, home, etc.  What I’d like to do is explain to you how to complete this process.

First, you need to figure out on what area of your life you want to focus.  Once you know that, you’re going to start writing a list of what your perfect situation looks like – add as many details as you can come up with.

For example, do you want a different job?  Then think about these types of questions:

Do you work for a large company, small company, or are you self-employed?

How many hours and days a week do you work?

How much money do you make?

Do you have a flexible or set schedule?

Do you travel?

What kind of people do you work with?

What type of work do you do?

What kind of benefits do you get?

And so on…

Do you want a new relationship?  Then consider not only what characteristics and qualities your perfect partner has (physical, emotional, intellectual, financial, spiritual…), but also things like how does your partner treat you?  How does being in the relationship make you feel?  What types of things/activities do you do together?

No matter what your list is about, there are several general things to keep in mind:

Take your time.  If your list pertains to an area of your life to which you’ve already given a great deal of thought, you may be able to knock this out in minutes.  However, it’s not uncommon for this process to take days, weeks, and sometimes even months as you come up with additional things to add.  There’s no deadline, so take as much time as you need.

Have fun!  Create a list that gets you excited about it happening!  The greater the emotion with which you make your list, the greater a magnet you’ll become to help draw it to you faster.

Don’t limit yourself.  Let your mind go and dream as big as you can!  Don’t keep something off of your list because you think you can’t afford it or you can’t figure out how it could ever be possible.  Your job in this assignment is simply to come up with what you want.  It’s up to the angels to figure out how to make it happen.

Write down everything!  To illustrate why this is so important, I’m going to share a personal experience.  When I was living in New Jersey, I used this technique to manifest a new apartment.  At the time, I just assumed that central air was a given so I didn’t bother to write it down.  I’m happy to say that everything on my list ended up being in my new place.  Unfortunately, I moved into a house that was over 100 years old that had been converted into apartments, and you guessed it – no central air!  Again, if you want it write it down!

Once you have completed your list, you’ll want to write at the bottom, “Thank you for this or something better.”  Remember, the angels want to help us with everything, but they can’t unless we ask.  This simple statement allows them to expand upon our list with things we may not have thought of on our own.  Plus, I just think it’s a nice idea to thank them for their help.
