I am grateful that I can read. I am grateful that I can still hear music, despite being almost completely deaf (I wear hearing aids), and I am grateful that the operation for cochlear implant in May went by without complications.

I am grateful that I got my BA degree this year, and for the support for many people that accompanied me on my way through writing and finally defending the thesis.

I am grateful that I can write and make the people’s days that much brighter with my songs and stories. I am grateful for my family, because despite of our disagreements and rows, they always stuck with me, through everything – the good, the bad and the ugly.

I am grateful that I live in peaceful country, in warm house with clean water and plenty of food to eat whenever I am feeling hungry. I am grateful that I have lovely, clean and warm clothes to wear. I am grateful that the people I come in contact with are kind and helpful and able to make me laugh if I have bad day.

I am grateful that I have more than enough money to spend whenever I need or want something. I am grateful that I am able to pay my bills independently.

I am grateful for my mistakes, even if some memories of them are sometimes very embarrassing or painful. I am grateful them, because if I hadn’t done them, today I wouldn’t have been where I am now.

I am grateful for time, because it gives me a chance to correct my mistakes and learn from them and enjoy the successes. I am grateful for sun, because I enjoy laying in sunspots – I am a notorious roof-hogger (by the way, grateful that I have roof just under my window, too!) I am grateful for rain, because it freshens the air and wets the soil, and it’s one of my favorite nature-made music. (Of course, I am grateful for rainbows too, especially when there’s two or more of them – just shame the photos can’t catch the beauty like human eye can. And with this, I am grateful for my eyes, because the world I see with them is beautiful.) I am grateful for storms, because they are just wow.(No further comment needed here.) I am grateful for snow, because it makes the landscape mysterious, especially in moonlight. Snowball fights and sledding is a given there. I am grateful for spring… just because.

I am grateful for all the furballs – be that feline, canine or any that were of different species not listed there, and my feathery friends, because they taught me about kindness and patience along with the importance of having the time to relax and play.

I am grateful that when it was the hardest, I persisted – hadn’t gave up just because it was hard. I am grateful that there was always someone that protected me, helped me and guided me, be that people or angels.

And I am grateful that you reminded me how important the gratefulness was.

(I am grateful for the song ‘Amazing Grace’, because it’s – hands down – my favorite one.)

I am grateful for the most incredible experience most do not get to have in a lifetime. I am grateful for a miracle. A miracle pregnancy after years of being told I could not. I lost the child but not the miracle of that experience.

I am grateful for love, peace, spiritual growth, my husband, friends, family, art, music, creativity and that we now have an opportunity to make a shift, to grow spiritually into heart wisdom, joy and love based living with all. I am grateful for the beauty of nature and the awe of the Heavens and God, and thankful that this is an amazing time to live on the planet.

I’ve shared this on my facebook page – learning to love myself and on my Twitter – @englishgel. Today I am grateful for the free readings on angelmessenger.net, for my gorgeous cats, for the support of my friends, for progress not perfection and for being invited to a friend’s house for pizza this evening.
