A gentle way to help feed rescued kittens

There are moments in life that don’t feel like coincidence.

Recently, I found myself feeling a quiet sense of peace where there had once been deep grief. For so long, I carried the weight of losing Riley—my beloved dog, who was truly part of our family.

This year, something shifted.

I realized that we had brought Nala home the day before Riley’s birthday.

And in that moment, something inside me softened.

It didn’t feel like we had forgotten him.
It felt like he had helped guide her to us.

When Riley came into our lives, there were signs everywhere—we always felt he had been chosen for us. And now, it feels just as natural to believe he would do the same again.

Nala has brought light into a space that once held so much sadness.
I still miss Riley. That love hasn’t changed.
But I find myself crying less… and smiling more.

And that feels like healing.

🌿 A Gentle Way to Give Back

Nala was rescued through an organization called Saved by Zade.

As they prepare for kitten season, they are getting ready to care for a large number of vulnerable kittens—many of whom will rely on consistent nourishment and support in their earliest days.

When I asked how I could help, their answer was simple:
