Grace

No matter what comes your way, you get to decide how to respond. It’s when you feel most challenged that your soul wants you to respond with dignity and grace. Sure it’s a breeze to do this when life is flowing along; however, it’s in the most challenging situations that you have the greatest opportunity for spiritual and personal growth and development. Yet, in those emotionally challenging moments, we often rely on primitive behaviors that only serve to keep us stuck. We all have challenges to overcome in this lifetime. Perhaps you have a sharp tongue when you get upset, perhaps you have a jealous side that gets the better of you, or perhaps you struggle with self-esteem and insecurity. It doesn’t matter the challenge as we all have them in life. What matters most is learning to overcome those challenges by responding with pure grace during those moments that used to get the better of us. Yes, this takes practice. In what area do you yearn to be more graceful or more gracious?

This week’s card serves to remind you that you are a gracious human being, and you have the ability to rise above any challenge by stepping into grace and stepping away from behaviors that bring you down. Where do you want to allow your graciousness to shine and how might this heal an area of your life? You are up to the challenge. Go ahead, pick an area of your life and vow to bring graciousness to every encounter you have in that area. Feel your heart heal and expand as you allow your graciousness to lead the way. You have it in you!

With love,

Christina

Christina – Oh, you are welcome, I appreciate your post on this subject matter. Right now, it is an issue that is presenting itself so that I “get it”. Divine Timing strikes again!

Rev. Sheri – I love the quote as well. It was a great succint, concise quote, and as you stated, it tends to bring another person’s struggle in perspective especially when one’s life is trying. Right now, it seems that is the test for me, to be in a state of grace and understanding for those around me even when my own life is far from perfect. I’m so glad that this site exists. Thank you.

Wow, Lori. What a quote to live by and share with others. Your message is profound. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful examples, Sheri. Believe me, I’m nowhere near perfect (what is that anyway?) myself. One of my favorite mottos is “progress, not perfection.”

Another wonderful and timely message, Christina, especially after my own run in with a not so gracious sandwich maker last week. It can be very difficult to step into grace when you’re walking on eggshells. lol Sometimes the energy of others can be a challenge, but that’s where we rise to meet the light within ourselves … or not. No one’s perfect; God knows I’m not, but we become better people by keeping Grace within our line of sight.

Lori, I love that quote. That is usually my mantra when dealing with difficult situations. If someone is treating me badly without reason, I try to keep in mind that it’s not me it’s whatever is going on in their day or life. When I’m in a bad mood myself, I try even hard to remember that my actions could ruin someone else’s energy, so I’d better be nice. 😉

Great comments! Thanks so much for sharing!

For some reason, this quote really strikes home for me when I am having difficulty putting myself in someone else’s shoes or viewing their side of reality. It’s so true, everyone is moving mountains in some way, shape or form; and we just can’t see what (or whom or why) is pushing someone to act the way they do (myself included). The high road is best, if one chooses to travel amongst the eagles. It is an acquired skill and much patience, diligence, thoughtfulness and compassion is required for self and others.

Thank you for the re-minder, one can never have enough Grace…

Hello Margo. Thanks for staying connected. You can also ask how each card relates to the previous. That’s always fun! There’s a larger thread or message that sometimes emerges.

    Hi Ben,
It’s clear you have been doing some work on shifting your beliefs and reactions. That’s terrific! What do you think has created the awareness that allows you to notice in the moment and choose a different response?

Thanks so much for connecting and sharing.

    Many blessings,

So true Cristina. I love the feeling I get when i’ve been working on a certain challenge or trigger of mine that i’ve had most of my life and suddenly catch myself in the middle of repeating it and then allow myself to react another way. It feels good.

I believe it is good to be aware of and explore your triggers and then to be able to let go of the emotions around them causing you to react in that way. Then you can be more aware of it when the situation happens and deal with it.
