Make a Wish
Magic is in the air when you draw this card! What is it that you desire? What would you like to see happen in your life? This card is telling you to put your intention out there and it will be made manifest.
The beautiful imagery on the card shows a mermaid and a unicorn near a small body of water. The unicorn is almost in a stance of bowing to the mermaid as if granting her a wish……….or is the mermaid, with her hand outstretched to gently touch the unicorn’s horn, blessing the unicorn with what it desires?
The fact that they are both near the water is important. Water is symbolic for our emotions and feelings, which is a message for us to really feel with all our heart that our wish is coming true. It can also mean to fuel our desired outcome with passion and positive emotions because this will assist in the manifestation process. And lastly, water is also a conductor of energy so it may actually be helpful to meditate on our wish or desired outcome near, or in, the water.

Thank you, Beverly, and I love what you added as well! Another way I sometimes consider the background not being in the reflection to remind me that circumstances, or our environment, may not always be as they seem to be or maybe will not affect what you’re wishing for as much as you may think. Sometimes people feel their circumstances hinder what they’re wishing for, and this card seems to say, “Hey, leave everyone/thing else out of this … what you’re so worried about isn’t the challenge for us (Heaven) as you perceive it to be for yourself.”
Though, my favorite explanation is what you’ve mentioned … If the reflection is considered to be what she perceives, then the background can be considered the luminous possibilities that she may not yet see herself. Notice the magical horn of the unicorn is missing from the reflection. She sees a regular horse, and, though beautiful, the reality of the creature standing before her would be considered one of the most magical creatures we could imagine.

I love your interpretation of this card – thank you!
Something that really stands out to me about the Make a Wish card is that the reflection of the mermaid and the unicorn in the water is a girl and a horse. The beautiful background is also absent in the reflection. This gives me extra hope that our wishes can come true because even though we are mere mortals, we each have the power to manifest something amazing with intent, belief and faith. It also tells me that my desire will likely be much better than any outcome I could possibly imagine. One of the things I struggle with most is patience and the desire for things to manifest in my time, not that of Gods time. This card always reminds me that I must be patient just a bit longer and to keep the faith that my wish is on its way to me.
