Never Enough

by Re, founder of Angel Messenger

Do you know that song Never Enough from The Greatest Showman? It’s a beautiful song, though when I hear it, I am reminded of how I feel about my work. I feel like I can never do enough to make a real difference. I try every single day to make some kind of difference, though some days my illness does make it quite a challenge to get out of bed, and taking a shower can wipe me right out. It’s more than that, though.

I’m always finding worthy charities to add to our list, but often the amounts I can donate to each are very little. I know that my dollars added to the dollars of others do add up, but it just feels like not enough. It feels like I’m not doing enough … maybe because there is so much suffering in the world. Even though I don’t watch the news, it’s impossible to shut it out.

My husband has suggested that maybe I should share with our audience what we do donate, but I feel it may be more embarrassing than anything. I mean, all these huge corporations are donation millions, and I’m over here donating $20 here … $50 there. Maybe I should start saying prayers when I donate that my money will somehow multiply into millions …

EVE, for example, is one of the many charities we donate to. Every quarter I look to see if I’ve made enough to make it worth donating to a charity. By mid summer, donations to EVE through product sales for the whole year had amounted to $6, so I rounded up to $10 and made the donation. They did a big event in October, and Angel Messenger donated $100 simply because it’s such an important charity, but I have to be careful how often I do that, especially considering how much our income has been affected by the pandemic. I know a lot of people are in similar situations. So, we pair donations with product sales. We make a little less profit because we give some of that money, but it doesn’t hurt our business or family as much as if I donated directly from my personal checking account.

For my birthday in November, I did a fundraiser to raise money for birthday boxes for foster children. With gratitude to some generous people, especially Stacy J. and an anonymous donor, I was able to raise enough money for 17 birthday boxes. Angel Messenger also purchased Ty fur babies for each child, which fit purrfectly in the boxes and are sooo cute!!! (I’m happy about this; can you tell?) I’m still coloring the boxes, but they will soon be completed and sent off to a caseworker.

We also personally made a donation to Covenant House in November to help provide homeless teens with a Thanksgiving dinner and recently made a $50 donation to No Kid Hungry to help fight childhood hunger.

Angel Messenger also planted 44 trees in November and donated $33 to a woman in our town who is rescuing all the feral cats, getting them spayed/neutered and finding them homes (when possible). We also donated $25 to the RAICES organization. We probably paid out a little more simply because it’s the final quarter, so I tried to balance out all the donations for the year.

Oh, and we also bought some chap stick and hot packs for the Homeless Angels group that helps the homeless. Did you know that there are more than 66 thousand homeless people in Michigan alone? That is a staggering number!!! And horrible! And so so sad …

Now that I look at this, we have done more than I thought … it’s more than some people do maybe, but I would like to be able to do a lot more. I think my New Year’s Resolution should be to win the lottery! 😉 Seriously though, my prayer to Spirit is that we are able to do a lot more good work next year. That would make me feel better. <3

Thank you to all those who have made donations this year. We have made other donations this year that I’ve not mentioned in this post. We have donated to animal shelters. I even made bow ties for cats and dogs for a couple of shelters. And, the sales of the face masks allowed me to donate face masks. If it were not for those of you who made donations and offered “tips” at checkout, we wouldn’t have been able to do all this.

In Gratitude, Love & Blessings,

Hi Re. Thank you for everything you do, and have done. This site is divinely connected and has been there to help me through so many things, a way for me to connect with angels, and see light through the hardest times. It is always exactly what I need at that moment, and the effect ripples out very far, as this light spreads in my life, to others and more. The charity work you do is being done through so many by proxy, each reading and message sends all of us into a better direction, where we can help others too. Little by little you have made an incredible difference! I hope one day you can donate millions to those who need it, but in the mean time thank you for the abundant spiritual gifts you have provided. Your kindness and generosity is transforming the world <3
