Healing 101 – How to Heal
Yourself and Others for Good
from our Angel Messenger Creative Team
There is no one in this world who isn’t a little broken. Call it the natural side-effect of the human condition but we are all in need of some healing. Trauma is a part of human life because every person who comes in this world of duality has to deal with the polarities of light and darkness. The difference is that some of us develop a higher immunity to the challenges of life and are, therefore, able to experience greater happiness.
Life is not going to get any easier – your only choice is to become bigger than the challenges and problems that are in front of you. The more you get yourself to grow, the smaller your challenges become. It’s also crucial to emphasize the importance of mindset here – you can either view something as a problem or as an opportunity. There is no such thing as a bad experience because every incident is merely an opportunity for growth that the Universe is presenting you with.
No matter what you are dealing with right now, you have the power to move beyond it. You have the ability to heal yourself and to become ‘Whole.’ Only you can give yourself this gift because healing like everything else in life is a choice.
Through this article, I will help you understand the process of healing. However, simply reading the article is not enough, you must put the wisdom into action to see the results in your life.
Understanding the Nature of Trauma and How to Prevent New Ones from Forming
We are all traumatized in one way or another. The trauma could have come from many different sources. Every time we experience heartbreaks, disappointment, anger, frustration or any other negative emotion, we are actually registering traumas in our subconscious mind. Even when we think we have moved beyond a particular experience after a while, it still hasn’t really gone away. It’s just buried in our subconscious mind for the time being.
The first question we need to ask is how can we save ourselves from accumulating more traumas? The answer is simple but will likely not be the easiest to put into practice as it will require retraining your mind and rewiring your emotional makeup.
You must understand that every time you react to anything with strong emotions (whether positively or negatively), it creates a powerful impression in your subconscious mind. Your very first emotional response to any negative situation is the beginning of the formation of a new trauma. The only way you can prevent the trauma from registering in your subconscious is by changing the negative emotions you feel into positive ones. If you can nullify the emotional intensity of what you are feeling, then you can prevent the trauma altogether.
Therefore, the best thing you can do is to laugh at the situation no matter how painful and problematic it might be. By finding humor in it, you are preventing yourself from getting traumatized.
It’s not the incident itself that is of importance here but how you react to it that determines its impact on your life.
How to Heal Past Traumas
Now, how do you heal the traumas that have already registered in your subconscious through past experiences?
You’ll have to first unearth them by closely observing your emotional and mental reactions in your everyday life. Remember that how you react to any particular incident or person has little to do with that incident or person in question and has everything to with your subconscious blueprint. For instance, if you meet someone and find something inexplicably irritating about them and yet you can’t pinpoint why you feel that way (because that person has not said or done anything to deserve it), that’s a case of your subconscious blueprint coming at play. There’s something about that person which your subconscious mind registers and relates to an incident of the past and brings up all the emotions that you felt in the past.
John Gray, the author of Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, even goes on to say that we are never really angry at what we think we are angry at. The anger or the pain is already there, the person or current circumstance is simply serving as a trigger to bring it up.
This is a very empowering thing to understand because it will prevent you from putting the blame on others. It should help to remember this famous quote by Charles R. Swindoll, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
You can’t control what is happening to you but you can always control how you are reacting to it. If you think that someone is making you angry, then you must also consider the fact that the exact same behavior might not elicit the same response in another person. Someone else might be perfectly calm when faced with the same behavior from the person who you think is troubling you. Another person might even laugh it off completely. Therefore, the problem is not really with the person or the situation but with how you are perceiving it. By consciously altering your perceptions, you can alter your own psychological and emotional state.
Only Love can Heal
There is no greater force in the Universe than the power of unconditional love. By practicing unconditional love, you can heal your heart and life. You can also heal other people who are dear to your heart.
How do you do it? It’s very simple but requires total dedication and commitment from your end:
Always be aware of your thoughts and emotions. This is always the first step on any journey of self-development.
Every time you find yourself thinking, feeling or about to say anything negative; smile and say this to yourself, “I love myself, I love everyone. I forgive myself, I forgive everyone.”
Make this your mantra. It might require constant repetition and, at first, your mind might even try to tell you that you are lying. At that point, all you have to do is to go on repeating this same mantra with greater fervor. Over time, you will not only develop the power to not acquire any new traumas but will also be able to erase old ones. Yes, it will take time but with dedication and perseverance, you’ll get there.
Some people say that ‘time heals all wounds’ but the truth is that ONLY LOVE CAN HEAL EVERYTHING.

Unless you are speaking the same language as your subconscious, all your efforts will be ineffective. Your subconscious has its own unique language, and you have to understand a small part of this language if you want to be successful in achieving your goals. Repetition and strong emotions are a part of the language that your subconscious understands, as well as being influenced by visualization. Repeatedly visualizing what you want and attaching it to a strong desire, will allow your subconscious mind to help you create everything you desire.
