Angelic Astrology – July 2017

This month of July we have some personal planets shifting into new signs throughout the month, keeping our daily activities busy and on the move. The most intense energy will be Chiron, the Wounded Healer, slowing down to turn to retrograde motion on July 30^th, which will intensify the effects of this mythical Shaman and Healer.

However, let’s begin by looking at the Numerology Energy Vibration for the month. July is a 17/8 vibration and the number 8 is all about business, career, finances, money, authority, power, control, inner strength, earthly matters, and empowerment. This is a number that says, “Here I Am World!” It is about goals, ambitions, and recognition of who you are out in the world.

The 17^th Major Arcana in the tarot is The Star, and rules the Path of “Inspiration” according to the book called, “Essence of the Tarot” by Megan Skinner. After the Tower card vibration of last month (June) where the old structures of our lives are torn down and demolished, this is where we can rise from the ashes anew, like the phoenix. This card is ruled by Aquarius, the Water Bearer, and relates to the Creative Consciousness of the Universe, or the God Mind. It is where we tune into the power of our dreams, goals, and intentions for the future that we desire to create next in our lives. It is about our hopes for the future. What are your goals? What are your hopes? What are your dreams? What are your inspirations? You have the Infinite Greatness of the God Mind behind you, with its unlimited potential, to create whatever it is that you desire! Move into THAT energy and rise again!

The first astrological energy of significance is Venus, planet of love and finances, moving into mutable Gemini on July 4th. She will be in this sign until the end of the month and although she may be more flirtatious and excitable here, she is also less grounded and focused. She may vacillate back and forth regarding relationship matters, and in regards to money, there may be several opportunities that present themselves where decisions are needed.

Mercury, planet of details and logic, is also changing signs on July 5^th, moving into the colorful, fire sign Leo. He will move very quickly through this sign of confidence and leadership, and change signs again later this month. For the period of time that he is in this sign, he will be much more dramatic in his communication style, be able to take charge of situations, and have a creative flair in all circumstances.

We have a Full Moon at 17 degrees Capricorn on July 8^th-9^th, depending on where in the world you are located. This will be a powerful lunation as it connects with both Pluto in Capricorn and Mars in Cancer. Pluto is about transformation and regeneration, power and control, and Mars is the Warrior Planet, and rules energy and action. There will most likely be some definite transitions in our personal lives and with the collective at this time!

On July 20^th Mars will move out of sensitive, water sign Cancer and into bold, enthusiastic Leo where he will be until September 5^th. This is a better placement for Mars than Cancer. Mars is a fire planet and now he will be moving into a fire sign. We will have a lot of energy and passion now to make things happen and move forward with plans.

The Sun joins Mercury and Mars on July 20^th by also moving into authoritative Leo, so we now have a lot of fire and air energy going on with Sun, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, and Uranus in fire signs and Venus and Jupiter in air signs. What happens when you put the elements of fire and air together? It creates a bigger fire! Fire is energy, movement, and passion….it is exciting, but sometimes unpredictable. It will not be a dull time by any means.

The New Moon in Leo at zero degrees is on July 23^rd. This occurs at the very first degree of Leo and so is a true new beginning of creation (a Leo keyword) in our lives.

On July 25^th, Mercury, ruler of the mental realm, changes signs again. He now moves into practical, Earth sign Virgo. This is one of the signs that Mercury rules so he is very much at home here. He can focus on logic and paying attention to the details of what needs to get done to take the next steps on the Path.

Venus also changes signs again this month, on July 31^st. She now moves out of changeable, unpredictable Gemini and into nurturing, family oriented Cancer. This is a better fit for her as well. She is ruler of the Divine Feminine and has now moved into a loving, compassionate, feminine sign. Her focus is tending to those people and situations that need a “mother’s touch” and kind, healing energy. Family and home situations will be highlighted.

And, speaking of highlighted……the astrological highlight of the month of July is Chiron, the Shaman and Wounded Healer, slowing down his forward movement at the 28^th degree of Pisces and turning to retrograde motion on July 30^th. We will feel this all month as Chiron’s movement is much slower than the personal planets of the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Chiron will be retrograde until December 2017, going all the way back to 24 degrees Pisces, before turning back to direct motion. As we near the end of this month we will feel this “slowing down” movement intensify with old emotional wounds from the past (and past lives) bubbling up to the surface of the collective unconscious, and from our own personal subconscious. It is another opportunity to heal and release old energies that we no longer need to carry as we raise our vibration and take the next step in our evolution and growth.
