Today is my little boy’s first day of first grade. It’s so weird to have my day all to myself. I can’t say that I’m complaining ๐Ÿ™‚ … it’s just different. I will be able to get so much more done. My headaches have gotten much better, too. I’m feeling pretty good! Well, I didn’t feel very good when I was leaving my baby in his classroom … he cried. ๐Ÿ™ This is such a big change for both of us. He is so used to spending all day with me. Even last year, Kindergarten was only a half day. I plan to take him out for ice cream after school.

Well, yesterday went okay. My little guy was pretty tired this morning, though. As for the weather and my headaches, I spoke too soon yesterday. I ended up with a massive headache but was able to stave off migraine status. The humidity combined with cooler weather might just kill me! ๐Ÿ™ I dropped my son off at school this morning and almost didn’t make it back home because I felt so sick. It came on really fast. Once I got home and felt better, I realized the humidity was at 98%! No wonder I got sick! I know I’ll probably get yelled at for saying this, but I’m praying for the weather to get cooler and lose this humidity. I was hoping to start scheduling readings by the end of this week, but I think I’ll have to hold off until next week. I thought my headaches were getting under control, but humidity is a major trigger for me … possibly the biggest. It’s amazing that I’ve been seeing this specialist who wants me to undergo all these expensive tests and take all these medications. “Take this to help this, then take this to help this side effect.” Well, let’s just say I’m not exactly following doctors orders. I’m sick of medication, especially when it doesn’t work. I am managing this mess on my own with my own special blend of treatment, and it’s working better than the medical concoction. I think my doctor doesn’t understand how I’m able to understand my body so well and actually reduce pain through meditation and deep breathing techniques. I don’t think he’s a very spiritual man, though. Maybe that’s why he thinks it’s so weird. Migraine doctors have found that people who suffer from migraines have super sensitive nervous systems. I believe this is also what makes me good at my profession, and it’s also what makes me able to understand my body better than most people. People who have super sensitive nervous systems are one type that are sensitive to other things … including psychic ability. I’d rather take no medication and care for my body when it tells me to than to drug away my “abilities”. I guess it’s sort of like the effect Ritalin has on ADD/ADHD labeled individuals. Only those who really know what it is can successfully treat it. Well, anyway … I guess I’ll just have to deal with it my own way. I’ve never liked listening to what other people tell me to do anyway. ๐Ÿ˜‰
