As we get closer to the summer months, my list will probably get back to normal, and people will be able to schedule right online through my new scheduling software.

To my dearest Clients, Colleagues and Friends,

I want to send out a truly sincere thank you to all the lovely reviews left on my scheduling software as well as the amazing letters of gratitude and support I’ve received via email. While it’s true that the praise is not the reason I do my work, it’s still very nice to receive. I once read a blog by a new author who said one of the most difficult things about publishing her first book was the reviews. There were hundreds of people who loved her book and left wonderful reviews, but the one bad review she read was what stuck out in her mind. She’d never be able to forget it. I’ve found her words to be true for me as well. I didn’t get a bad review, but I felt like I had a terrible reading recently. Something happened in the reading that made me feel extremely taken advantage of. I should have stood my ground, but I didn’t; it was my own fault. The energy became clouded and difficult because of the circumstances, but I pushed myself to go on. I wanted to be helpful to this person, but I pushed myself too hard, and I paid the price. I felt sick for almost two days after this reading. The worst part was that I don’t think my efforts were appreciated. The lack of appreciation meant that I hadn’t helped the person; my efforts had been in vain. I tried hard to do what was requested of me, but it resulted in the reading not being the same quality I’m used to giving. It wasn’t my fault, but then it was exactly that. I should have known better. I felt really down. It felt like I’d just received a flood of bad reviews because I felt it so deeply, but then I checked my scheduler and read all the wonderful comments there. When I checked my email, there were two new thank you letters waiting for me. Those kind words pulled me out of my darkness, and I can’t thank you enough. Sensitivity can be a “curse” as much as it is a gift. I am easily hurt, and I’m thankful to all of you who understand that I am only human.

Ask Sheri – Will We Have a Child?

“[My husband and I] have been trying to have a child for over 3 years and every Angel Intuitive and psychic I have asked about having children have ALL said “YES” that we will have 2 children. I just turned 41 years old last month, and I feel I am losing hope of getting pregnant and giving birth to a child. I even ask your free Angel card readings and they tell me that there is a new addition coming to the family. I don’t want to give up hope but I also don’t want keep my hopes up if having a child isn’t in my path. Any answers or advice, I would truly appreciate.”

In reading your email, I was immediately pulled in to the desperation behind your question. I know how badly you want a child, and I do see a family in your future. However, I’m not exactly sure how that family will come about. Sometimes, with email, it’s difficult to get passed certain emotions. The energy I feel from you makes it difficult to see things clearly, but this also tells me a great deal about your situation.

I can see that one of your challenges in this life is dealing with personal power. Somewhere in the past, freedom was abused or taken advantage of in some way. This can lead to karmic issues with personal power. I would guess that you have had some challenges related to personal power in this lifetime. Either you struggle with things that are out of your control, or you give up your power to others. With respect to your question, I have to say there is specific advice related to personal power coming from your guardian angels. “Do not give up, but let go of your need to control the outcome.” As I said before, I do see a path ahead of you that includes a family, but the path may be slightly different than you imagine. Your spirit guides are talking about a healing that needs to take place. I’m not sure if that healing is on a physical level or emotional. They are telling me that you need to consider all options before you. Educate yourself on all possibilities. Most of all, watch your thoughts. Don’t linger on the idea of never having children. Visualize what you do want to happen – not what you fear.

This may be one of those cases where you become pregnant once you stop trying so hard. This could also imply that a child will come to you by other means, like adoption. I can promise you that children have the ability to find their own ways of coming into our lives. Clear your mind of expectations, and just let go to whatever possibilities present themselves.

You personally have a uniquely humanitarian energy. Using numerology, I can see that your life path number and your birthday number are both a 9. This means the path you walk in life and the gift you bring into this world are both the same. You yourself are love personified, and I can’t possibly imagine someone more qualified to be a mother. When your energy is balanced – spiritually, emotionally, physically and mentally – your are the definition of a humanitarian spirit. Your soul is very old, and you have experienced much. This is a life when you want to achieve completion on a soul level. I can understand the longing for a child. You feel a child will complete you on the deepest level. An important aspect of your energy is that you do not naturally posses balance, however. You must find ways to balance yourself, especially on an emotional level. Finding balance is very important when it comes to being your true self.

The best advice I can give you is to maintain balance in your life. Do whatever it takes. Find time for yoga or some sort of meditative exercise. Take care of yourself. Ask Sheri – Will Things Get Better Soon?

“I know it is selfish to think of myself, but I can’t help but wonder why I’ve been laid off for the second time in a year and a half. I have tried to listen, but I don’t seem to hear any spiritual guidance from God or my Angels. I don’t know if maybe I’m just too worried and I’m blocking things out. I really just want to be able to enter a career where I share my artistic talents and help other people as well- I want to make the world a more beautiful place, but I also need to make money to support my family. I try to help people when I can, but maybe I don’t try hard enough. I’m just going through a rough time right now, and I feel lost. I’m just wondering if things will get better soon. Thanks for listening.”

First of all, it is not selfish to think of yourself. We cannot take care of others if we do not first take care of ourselves, and this is especially true for you. Throughout our whole country, people are being laid off left and right, time and time again. I really feel like your situation is largely affected by the economy because I don’t see anything you’ve personally done or haven’t done that has caused this. For the most part, I believe it had more to do with time at the company, experience and your pay compared to others that resulted in the current outcome. These decisions appear to have been made higher up. The numerology of your birth date helped me to see that you are extremely devoted to your family, and you probably take your role within your family quite seriously, but I don’t feel that you do enough to care for yourself and your own needs. Don’t ignore your own needs. When you take care of yourself, you are a happier person. Happier people have more positive energy a better chance at pulling in more positive opportunities. I’m guessing you might also be one of those people who have to work really hard to get what they want/deserve in life. That’s not always so pleasant, but it does have a plus side. You may have to work harder than others, but what you do achieve in life can build strong foundations for future success and be longer lasting.

I want to give you a few tips to improve your current situation. The first thing you should do is start doing a little bit more for yourself. Appreciate yourself and reward yourself for your past and present efforts. Next, express your creative side. You mentioned your artistic talents. I can tell you that you shouldn’t hold back on your creative side just because you feel like you need to use it in a career. I feel like you do hold back. You don’t express this side of yourself enough, and it’s something that you can do outside of work. Think of ways you can utilize your creative side in every day life – for fun. This will bring you joy, and joy creates miracles. As I said earlier, happier people have better energy and that energy equals better opportunities. Being happier also means your mind will be more clear of clutter and stress, making you more open to spiritual guidance. Give it a try, and then just be open to whatever opportunities come your way. I know you feel lost, but I do see things getting better. Your birthday will bring a year of new beginnings and new opportunities. You’re just leaving a year where things that were no longer working should have fallen away. This tells me that maybe that job wasn’t so great for you, either. Maybe that’s why it fell away, but new opportunities are coming. You’re coming out of a difficult year, but things will get better. Keep your head up, and don’t give up. Happy birthday, by the way!

Ask Sheri – Should I Close My Business?

“I am still praying to angels, my spirit guides about developing my business. I have got still not too many clients should I wait or should I close. Please help me thank you.”

Generally speaking, most businesses are still having difficulty making money and maintaining/getting new clients. Especially in the U.S., people are more aware of how they spend their money and whom they give it to. This is truly a great step forward for us as a people, but it sure makes things difficult for businesses. There’s just not as much demand for products and services as there used to be. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you should close your business. What I can tell you is that the businesses with the best chances of success are the ones thinking outside the box for ways to give back or help their communities in some way. It doesn’t have to cost you your bottom line, but it does need to be a sincere effort. There are companies out there who are “making an effort” simply in the hopes that potential customers will see them in a new light and buy more stuff, but those customers will eventually see through the facade. It’s the companies who put their heart into their work that will make the biggest difference long term, both for their communities and their businesses. For instance, a local restaurant owner recently hosted a fund raiser for our school. Select teachers and the elementary principal acted as the servers for the evening, and the school received a percentage of all the orders. Of course, this benefited the restaurant as well, but the owner is also a coach at our school who was reaching out with honest intent to help the community. As I understand, this particular restaurant is always packed with customers. Consumers want to know their money is well spent – both in the quality of the product or service they receive and how the proceeds are put to use.

For you personally, there are a few more things I’d like to ad. Using numerology, I was able to use your date of birth to determine that you are a Life Path 5. What that means is that the path you are traveling on in this lifetime is one about freedom and experiencing life. When your energy is balanced, you have the ability to adapt to your current circumstances and maybe use some progressive thoughts and actions to improve your business. I think the energy in our world right now is one that could suit you very well. However, you should be careful not to procrastinate or become inconsistent with ideas and follow through. You need to feel like you have a purpose, and I hope you can see by what I’ve explained above that you can have a purpose. Patience may not be one of your strengths, I can see that, but it will serve you well. Emotionally, I can sense that you are easily affected by your environment. Be careful whom you surround yourself with and be aware of how they make you feel. I would like to suggest that travel, either physically or within your own mind, can be very helpful to you – emotionally, mentally and spiritually. One other bit of information I can see with numerology is that you just entered a 7 year on your recent birthday, but next year (after your next birthday) will be an 8 year. Basically, this year your energy is about spiritual growth and understanding. Anything you can do to find inner strength and wisdom is important. Don’t avoid too many social functions just to sit home alone and be by yourself. Solitude has it’s uses, but you’re more likely to become the hermit this year. Next year, the 8 year, can bring material success. So, this can be a very good time for your business. However, it’s important to find balance between the material and spiritual, so use the knowledge you gain this year to keep you balanced next year.

Ask Sheri – Do I Have the Ability to Contact the Angels?

“I just have a general question about the angels that I found every time I walk close to the angel cards or tarot cards section in the bookstores I can clearly hear some “voice” talking to me – sometimes sending me some messages; sometimes just greeting with me. When I walk away from these sections then I can no longer get these messages. Are these my imaginations or do I really have the ability to contact with angels?”

Thank you for your question. The truth is that everyone has the ability to contact and communicate with angels. You just have to know how to listen. One book I recommend to anyone interested in communicating with the other side is a book called “Divine Guidance” by Doreen Virtue. I love this book and actually designed a class based on it. The beginning of the book includes a quiz to help you determine which form of natural guidance you would be best at and could develop most easily … clairvoyance (clear seeing – visions and dreams), clairaudience (clear hearing – hearing guidance through sound), clairsentience (clear feeling – gut instincts) and claircognizance (clear knowing – just “knowing” things). There are several wonderful excercises to aid development, and this book also includes a section on how to tell true from false guidance which is VERY important.

Not everyone is meant to be a professional psychic and do readings for others, but everyone can and should try to connect with the other side. It’s a truly special and spiritual experience that no one should be denied. As for the angel and tarot cards that “speak” to you, maybe there’s a reason for that. I think you should buy a deck. Select one that speaks to you in its own way and experiment with connecting to your angels and guides. Angel/tarot cards are divination tools. Basically, they are tools that help us connect to the other side. Not everyone needs to use them, but they can be very helpful. I started out with using angel cards myself. I very rarely use any tools anymore, but I still love the angel cards; that’s why they’re on my site!

So, buy a deck and have some fun!

You might think that birthstones are only associated with the Zodiac signs. This is not exactly true. They are also associated with what month you are born in. The origin of the twelve monthly birthstones was thought to have originated in the Bible as they were found on the breastplates of Aaron.

Yet another difference between the monthly and the Zodiac stones is that the monthly stones have more a numerological association whereas the Zodiac stones relate more to astrology.

January – The garnet is named as the January birth stone in just about every tradition or culture The glittering red garnet is the stone representing January in Hebrew, Roman, Arabic, Polish and Russian traditions. In the ancient Hindu tradition the stone for January was the serpent stone, but this is not a stone that has been seen by anyone. Chances are it was a ruby or a black stone.

February - The symbolic stone is agreed upon as being the amethyst according to North American, Hebrew, Roman, Arabic, Polish and Russian traditions. In ancient Hindu it was the chandrakankta which once again is a stone nobody living today has ever seen so it cannot be described.

March - Modern North America culture names the aquamarine as the stone for this month. However in Hebrew, Roman, Arabic, Polish and Russian traditions the stone for this stormy month is the bloodstone. In the ancient Hindu tradition it was a stone called gold-sivalinga which once again is not a stone ever seen by contemporary eyes.

April – North American culture names the diamond as the birth stone for April. In Jewish, Hindu and Polish cultures the diamond is also named as the April birthstone. However in Roma, Persian and Russian traditions, the stone that has symbolized the month is sapphire.

May – In contemporary North American, Arabic, Hindu, Polish and Russian traditions, the birthstone for the month of May is emerald. However the Hebrew and Roman traditions say the month belongs to the agate.

June - June is one of those months that seem to be symbolized by an array of stones. Contemporary North American culture names the stone of the month to be moonstone, pearl or alexandrite. Ancient Hindu tradition also names the pearl as the birthstone for June.
However in ancient Roman and Hebrew traditions June was ruled by the emerald (possibly because the green represented summer.) In Russian, Polish and Arabic cultures the stone that rules this month is agate, which to make things even more confusing is a striped stone comes in many colors.

July - In North American, Polish and Russian culture the birthstone for this mid summer month is ruby. In Hebrew and Roman traditions it is onyx. The Arabic culture assigns the carnelian to July and the Hindu religion says a sapphire represents this month.

August - Many different stones are often said to belong to the month of August. The modern North American tradition says the month is symbolized by peridot. The Hebrew and Roman traditions attribute it to the carnelian. The Arabic and Polish traditions say the month belongs to the sardonyx. The Hindu tradition assigns August the ruby and the Russian tradition assigns it the alexandrite.

September - In modern North American traditions, this autumn month is said to be ruled by the sapphire. However in Hebrew, Roman, Arabic, Polish and Russian traditions peridot is given as the ruling stone. The Hindu tradition assigns the zircon to September.

October - The opal or the tourmaline is usually assigned to October. However Hebrew, Roman, Arabic and Polish birth gem stone traditions say that aquamarine is the symbolic stone. The Russian culture says the month is ruled by the beryl. Ancient Hindu tradition says the stone is coral.

November - The North American tradition assigns either yellow topaz or citrine as the gemstones for this month. The Hebrew, Roman, Arabic and Russian traditions also say it belongs to topaz.
November is symbolized by the cat’s eye in the Hindu culture.

December - The North American tradition says December is symbolized by three choices of three blue stones: tanzanite, turquoise or blue topaz. The Hindu religion also assigns it to topaz, and the Russian and Polish traditions assign it to turquoise. The Arabic, Roman and Hebrew traditions say the rosy colored ruby rules this month.

This is interesting because very often your choice of a Zodiac stone will conflict with what is the birth month stone. Some of the stones also cross over to astrology. For instance if you are born in November the symbolic stone is topaz and if you are a Sagittarian born after the 23rd then your stone will be at topaz as well.

Ask Sheri – What Cards are used in the Free Online Angel Card Readings?

“I’m just wondering what name of the angel cards that you use for the online free readings. They are really beautiful and very straight-forward; on the other hand, very accurate every time I use for my questions. Would you mind letting me know where I can get one set of that, please?”

I get this question all the time. I actually have an Amazon.com box below the cards that explains the sets I use, but I think most people miss it. I’ll have to change that up when I have some time. The cards used in the Free Online Angel Card Readings are the “Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle Cards” and the “Messages from Your Angels Oracle Cards” both by Doreen Virtue. These two decks are two of my favorites. You can use them individually or combine them as I’ve done with the online readings. She has several other great decks as well – some of which I haven’t even tried yet. You can buy them at quite a few places online and in most bookstores, but I’ve found Amazon.com is usually cheaper, especially if you take advantage of the free shipping. Please see below …

I’ll Tell You Why

In one of my recent blogs, I posted a video of Declan Galbraith singing “Tell Me Why”. The song really touched me, and I couldn’t get it out of my head. After some research, I discovered that this boy actually wrote this song himself after Katrina, and it was intended as a plea to God. He wanted to know why so many horrible things have happened down here on Earth.

I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve asked Heaven these same questions, especially over the last year. Sitting alone late at night with silent tears, trying not to wake my husband and son, I have asked God why …

“Why are those I love sick and dying?”

“Why are so many people experiencing so much loss and pain?”

“Why is my family losing our home? Why are there walls blocking every escape? Why, after all I’ve done, after all I do, will you not help me? I’ve done everything you’ve asked, and I would do more. Why do you just stand by and watch us suffer? Why don’t you help?”

After listening to Declan’s song, I asked again. I asked God why so much has happened and why so many are struggling. I asked God why the people of Haiti have seen so much devastation and why their government is unable to accept all the help that has been offered. It’s frustrating to see help just sitting in boxes, unable to reach those in need. I also asked why we are able to send help to those so far away while yet so many are suffering in our own country – in different ways but still unaided and crying out.

And then I received my answer. Why does God just stand by and let all this happen? He doesn’t. He has sent help, but we are unwilling or unable to receive it. He has sent angels in disguise. He has sent us spiritual leaders. They might be politicians, but some have gotten caught up in things that don’t matter and have forgotten their mission. They might be financial institutions, but only time will tell if they will do their part. They might even be children, but adults don’t always listen. They might be me, and they might be you.

God has sent us help. Even with my own struggles, there are ways I can help. Even with your struggles, there are ways you can help. Humanity can be greedy and selfish, but humanity is also capable of great love and miraculous feats. So many of us wonder why we would want to be born into such a difficult world, such a difficult life, but this is why. We are here to love and be loved. We are here to learn and experience humanity – at its worst or its best. How we choose to use our lives is up to us. Will we make a difference, or will we simply stand aside and ask, “Why?”

Over the next couple of years, humanity will see many opportunities to rise up and shine or to wallow in darkness. Our success or failure will be determined by our humanity. What choices will we make? What will we do? Will we choose to change our attitudes and reach out to one another, or will we let humanity die where it stands? Will we save our oceans? Will we end our petty wars? Will we save each other? Why do we suffer? We suffer because humanity has chosen to suffer. When we ask why, we need to be asking that question of ourselves. We can choose to live like this, or we can create Heaven on Earth. What’s your choice? What will you decide? What will you do to make a difference?
