Dear Aquarius 60,

I’ve been sick, so I haven’t been able to post much in my blog lately. However, I saw your question and decided to write a quick post. This medium you are talking to is likely bad news. There are unfortunately many scam artists out there, especially online. If you received nothing more than an electronic reading, it’s quite possible that you’re not even talking to a real medium. There are companies out there that create these sites which have automated fake readings. If you were to sign up for their “free” reading with two separate emails, you would get a canned type email response that is very similar to both. These “free” emails or mini readings are designed to get you to pay more money for a longer fake reading using some sort of fear tactic. My advice is to run the other way. This “medium” is bad news. The only dark shadow over you is what you are being victimized by with this person/company. Using the smoke of white sage or incense in your home will lighten any negative energies you might feel. There may be something going on with you personally that is attracting negative things into your life, but most likely that has more to do with something personal, or your outlook on life, than anything you cannot control. We all have free will, and your free will is telling you that you’re being taken advantage of.

Let go of whatever this person has told you and release it to the heavens. Use some some sage and learn a bit about positive affirmations. Using more positive energy in your life will create a magnet for more positive energy.

Website Going Down

You may find that my website will be temporarily down or slow at times. We’ve been having increasing trouble with interruptions in service with our hosting provider, and we have found that they can no longer handle the traffic received by my website. So, we are looking for a bigger highway! We’ve had to take down the meditation page for now, but the free readings are still online.

We hope to get my site transferred to a new company as soon as possible, but there will be interruptions in service while this change is in progress. Please be patient with us during this time and know these changes are ultimately in the best interest of everyone. We will be able to add more things to my site in the future without worry of the traffic shutting it down, and that is great!

Ask Sheri – Soul Level Forgiveness

“How do I ask for forgiveness to the person I have hurt, if the person does not want nothing to do with me?” ~ Charity

Dear Charity,

Asking forgiveness of someone who won’t even talk to you is difficult for sure, though not impossible. You need to know about forgiveness on a soul level. You can have a chat with the guardian angel of the person in question. Pray, or use meditation, to connect with that person’s angels, guides or even their own soul.

The key to connecting with another soul is that you have to be sincere. Your apology and need to connect with them must be heartfelt and true. When you are in that heartfelt place of love and mutual respect, you can talk to your loved one either directly or through their angels and guides. Ask for forgiveness, explain what happened, whatever you need to do. Ask your guides and angels to help you. Archangel Gabrielle is wonderful for helping with this kind of thing.

This method is actually something I’ve been teaching to parents for years on how to connect with their children when the child doesn’t want to listen. It works great with young children who are grieving, teenagers who may be closed off to anything their parents have to say, angry spouses, etcetera, etcetera.

Understand that, just because you apologize, it does not necessarily mean the person will forgive you or that the person/relationship will go back to normal. Just like a normal apology, they may understand your actions or even forgive, but they may still choose to avoid putting themselves back into a similar situation. A soul level apology or connection, which can be done along side a normal every day human apology, will help that person to forgive you.

If you’ve ever done a cord cutting or cord releasing exercise, this works similar. In cord releasing, sometimes the person you are disconnecting with can feel that disconnect, and they may try to reach out to you over the phone, email, whatever. When you connect with a person in the way I’m describing, sometimes they physical feel it the same was as with cord releasing. But, instead of feeling a disconnect, they feel a connection. They might start thinking of you or even missing you, though they’ll not know why the sudden thoughts are occurring.

It’s the same kind of thing when a recently deceased loved one visits someone they’ve left behind. The loved one may suddenly think of the person they lost because they are unknowingly feeling the energetic presence of the one they lost. The two are connecting on a soul level.

When you are truly regretful, but the person you wish to connect with refuses to listen for whatever reason, working with their guides, angels, and even connecting with that person on a soul level can make quite a difference – or at least help to break up the icy brick wall between you.

Ask Sheri – Confused About Psychics

“Hi Rev. Sheri, what if a psychic says something in a reading that does not sit right with me? I have a friend who has a cheating husband, and she sleeps in another room because of it. A psychic told her to move back to the room with him. I am sure the psychic meant well, but she did not feel right about doing that while he is cheating. I too have been told things in readings that do not fit me. Could it be the psychic has a different personality, perspective? Or, are they getting that information from our guides? Ultimately, shouldn’t we follow our own gut feelings? Thank you.”

Thank you. This is such a great question. You should always follow your own gut feelings when it comes to listening to someone else – including psychics. Psychics are not really the all-knowing, infallible creatures we are believed to be. There are quite a few factors that determine the accuracy of anyone who practices the intuitive arts. First and foremost, the one thing that affects future predictions the most is free will, and this is something completely out of the practitioner’s control. When a practitioner sees the future, they usually see it as it stands at that moment. They might be able to see some other possibilities or variations of the outcome depending on certain variables, but free-will is a big factor affecting accuracy of readings.

With all that said, psychics can be wrong. It could be the person wasn’t feeling quite themselves on the day of the reading, or it could be they misinterpreted the message. I know for myself, some guides give me symbols, some give me feelings, and some give me examples from my own life or knowledge base to share. I have to interpret what they are trying to tell me through those thoughts, feelings and symbols, and sometimes I’m wrong. In fact, I have told clients things like, “This is what I’m seeing, feeling, etc., and this is what I think it means, but what does it mean to you?” What a person’s spirit guides or guardian angels are telling me could be a unique symbol for that person and not anything that needs to be interpreted at all. I’ve just remembered something I saw in a recent reading which was a single red rose in the middle of a wheat field. I had no idea what this was supposed to mean, but it was something quite significant for the client. I hadn’t even tried to interpret what I saw because it made no sense to me, so I shared exactly what I was seeing, and that was exactly what I was meant to do.

It’s difficult to say what happened with your friend and her reading, but I always tell people to follow their gut instinct. After all, you are the one you must live with your choices and the repercussions of your actions – or lack thereof. I’m wondering if it is possible that psychic meant for your friend to try and rekindle her intimate relationship with her husband, but there are other ways of doing that besides sharing a room or bed with him. If I were in that particular situation, I might feel humiliated by sleeping with a man I know might have been with someone else before crawling in next to me; maybe she’s not ready for that step. Maybe try something else.

If your friend would like to try and revitalize her marriage, maybe she needs to rekindle intimacy in other ways. For example, she probably doesn’t feel very good about herself. Maybe it would help her to do something for herself that makes her feel good – and even sexy; like wearing pretty undergarments, buying a new sweater that brings out the color of her eyes or having a hair style makeover. What I am saying here is that if your friend wants her straying husband to come home, she needs to do something to get his attention – physically. There is power in “accidentally” leaving something normally unseen on the bathroom floor, by the way.

Emotion is another aspect to take advantage of. Many women see men as primarily physical creatures, but in truth, they are not so different from us. A true, emotional connection is vital to finding real intimacy with a partner, and men do need that. Doing things that show him she cares are important, too. It is completely understandable to want to completely pull away from someone who’s cheating on you, but if your friend wants to save her marriage, pulling away from him isn’t going to achieve the desired result.

Above all, communication is the absolutely the most important part of any relationship – especially marriage. Your friend needs to talk to her husband. Seek marital counseling, if they are up for that. Find out what he’s lack in his life that is creating this need to be with other women. It could be something to do with his job, even. I don’t know your friend or her husband, but I will tell you there is a power struggle going on with this man. Being with these other women makes him feel like more of a man somehow. Somewhere in his life, power is being taken away from him, and his actions are in part a way to get that power back. It’s definitely a non-productive pattern, but it’s his pattern. He needs to find a better way of dealing with this challenge. He needs to feel strong and powerful, and the bedroom is surely a place where a man can find that. Unfortunately, this man isn’t looking in his own bedroom, and that is where the problem lies.

So, yes, the answer to your question is that you should trust your instincts. There might be times when a person simply doesn’t want to listen to something a psychic tells them because they’re not ready to hear it, or at least they believe they’re not ready to hear it. Some psychics can also be a bit harsh in how they relay information, creating a defensive wall where acceptance should be. That’s why it’s important to find a good fit. Maybe that psychic’s personality is just too different from her own. She needs to find a practitioner she feels comfortable with. Even if and when that person is wrong (because no psychic is perfectly accurate), trust your gut and go with that. I once went to a psychic who told me I would never accomplish a task I had been working on. She was wrong about her assessment, but what she said to me made me upset enough that I pushed even harder to achieve my goal. So, was she really wrong, or did she say exactly what she was meant to say? Food for thought …

Ask Sheri – Is this too farfetched?

“My niece … who is 3, had a dream the other night that a monkey kissed her and a bear hugged her. She remembers it with great detail, and whenever I bring up her deceased grandparents, she refers back to that dream. I want to say that the monkey represents my mother, her grandmother, and the bear is my father, her grandfather. Is that too farfetched?”

No, that’s not farfetched at all. That’s exactly what I would have said. Especially in children, our loved ones come through as animals or other things that are comforting. The dream did its purpose without making her sad or afraid. If her grandparents had come as themselves, she may not even have remembered the dream upon awakening.

Dreams like this one occur often in children, where loved ones come in and visit but are represented by something else. Think about how the bear might be similar to or represent your father. Was he the “big teddy bear” type? How does the monkey represent your mother? Maybe there aren’t similarities; maybe there are. Maybe they just knew your niece likes zoo animals!

I used to dream about a white rabbit when I was a child, though I still don’t know exactly who that was. I didn’t have any family members I was close to that had passed away at that time. It is possible, however, that my white rabbit was an angel or another Heavenly visitor. White is a color that represents purity, and I did have a pet rabbit that I told all my secrets to.

It’s important to remember that children tend to be more open than adults. By the time we grow up, we’ve forgotten how true our dreams can be, and we struggle to connect with those we’ve lost. Children are still gifted in this way; they don’t yet know to doubt. You are obviously a gift to your niece. Thank you for supporting who she is. Thank you for your question and for reminding us about the wonders seen through the eyes of children.

Ask Sheri – Trying to Understand

“I had a major life jolt that put me on my spiritual path. I needed to get closer to God in order to heal from my trauma. Although, I always believed in God, but I grew stronger in God because of my difficult experience. I was wondering about atheists. I met a lady that is older to me who told me she does not believe in God. She said when people get a good feeling from a God’s picture, it is because they were programmed to feel that way about the picture. She said there is a scientific explanation to everything. She does not believe in past or future lives. I was wondering about such people. I know God does not force or take away free will, but at some point, will these people find God even if it is another life?”

That is a really good question, and the answer is just as debatable. I believe everyone believes what they need to believe at any particular time for whatever reason. You have a more enlightened viewpoint for sure. However, the woman in question is where she needs to be right now. Maybe it’s because of something that happened to her in a past life that she needs to understand what it means to live without faith. Her mind needs to believe in a more scientific explanation. Though, she does have a bit of a point. We are programmed to feel things about our experiences. Like with spiritual pictures, our experiences (our program) make us feel a certain way. You feel a certain way because of your experiences, as does your friend.

Sometimes, like with yourself, people encounter experiences that make them question what they believe. The effects can be far reaching and can even cause a complete paradigm shift for that person. I’m sure you’ve heard stories of miracles happening that change someone’s life.

Will she go to hell because she doesn’t believe in God? No, I can’t bring myself to believe that. Based on my experiences, that is just not the case, though I know many religions would argue otherwise. Would an earthly father cast his child away for not believing in him? Some might, but we usually don’t think very highly of those types of fathers. Why would be expect any less from God?

Our journeys through life are meant to provide opportunities for growth. It’s okay not to believe in a spiritual power. It’s hard to live that way in my opinion, but it is okay. Sometimes it’s difficult to comprehend why people do the things they do or believe the way they do, but we have to understand that everyone is at a different place. We are all learning different lessons. It is very possible that someone who is an atheist in one life could be a spiritual leader in another.

Interpreting the Free Online Angel Card Readings

Many of the questions I receive are about interpreting the free online angel card readings. And, actually, that is one area of my site that I have been working on ideas to improve upon. I know sometimes it can be difficult to interpret the meaning of the cards, and that is where a private consultation comes in handy. However, since I’m not currently offering private appointments, I’m writing in hopes of helping you to make more sense of your free online reading.

The best advice I can give anyone on interpreting the cards is to let go and think outside the box; don’t always take the wording so exactly. For example, I did the simple one card reading the other day just asking for a message. Really, I was looking for some good news, but I was open to whatever came through. The card that came up was “Shanti” which says, “I am the Angel of Peace. I bring you new tranquility, and a smoother road ahead.” For some reason, the “smoother road ahead” part sent a vision of a nice and clean blacktop road. I hadn’t been thinking about the construction around my home at all when I asked the question; I was simply asking for a message and kept my mind open. I took the card to hopefully mean my street would soon be finished, and that would definitely bring me a smoother road, peace and tranquility. The card doesn’t show a picture of construction, and the card could surely be interpreted in other ways, especially just the simple explanation that things will get easier, but I used all of myself to be open to the message. Using all of myself brought the vision of blacktop to my mind. Using all of yourself and being open to all possibilities can bring you a much clearer message. Oh, by the way, blacktop paving began on my street last night, and I am oh so pleased by that!

One of the most confusing parts of the reading is the “block” card. This card represents what might be hindering your progress at the present time. I know this can be confusing sometimes, especially because the cards all have such positive messages. Again, think outside the box. Let me give you an example. I have to talk about the abundance and prosperity type cards here because my husband asked about this the other day, and another person asked about this same exact thing on my chat earlier today. Having a card in the block position that talks about abundance and prosperity coming your way is certainly confusing, but think about what you’re not feeling abundance and prosperity in within your life. Could it be that a lack of abundance in joy could be hindering your goals? It’s certainly possible. For my husband, my interpretation was exactly that. He’s overly stressed in is day to day job, and that’s hindering his progress in his side business. Like many, he’s in a position where his “job” isn’t exactly his passion, but that doesn’t mean he has to be miserable. Finding ways to experience joyful abundance in the area that’s not always so great can help bring other types of abundance to the topic in question.

Dear Mary Lou,

Thank you for your question. It’s one that gets lost in the shuffle sometimes by us teachers when we assume everyone else knows what we’re talking about. The term “lightworker” has been around for quite some time and is usually used to describe someone who sheds light on those around them. They are sometimes found in spiritual, healing or humanitarian fields, but they are needed everywhere.

Lightworkers have chosen to live a life of service to humanity in some way, and it’s an honor to serve in this capacity. It is vital that each individual lightworker learns to recognize their own inner light and how to use it in helping others. Living as a human lightworker can be a difficult task and many find themselves more prone to depressive tendencies and chaos, especially when they’ve strayed from their path. They can become easily dissatisfied with their lives, especially when they don’t feel the fulfillment they may not even be aware they are looking for. This is a sign their soul is calling them to do something more. Lightworkers can be sensitive, intuitive and creative. They can also be highly intelligent and easily learn things as if recalling a memory from the distant past.

Lightworkers have many labels – Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow children; Starseeds; Earth Angels, but I believe there are many more that defy any certain category. They are evolved souls who are here to assist humanity in this time of planetary evolution. They are here to break down the barriers of ignorance, hate and intolerance. They are here to bring truth, love and peace to this world.

As children, many lightworkers felt like they didn’t belong and may have been bullied or abused. Once these souls become aware of who they are, it’s like everything suddenly makes sense. The past is what makes us who we are. We are here to understand, protect and teach humanity.

As a lightworker, you are no better than anyone else. You are different, but that means you have responsibilities – to yourself and to our world. You are like a 1000 watt lightbulb in a darkened room. Not everyone will welcome your light, but those who do need you to shine.

Steps to Take Now …

1. Accept who you are, and love yourself for it. This means taking care of yourself spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally and neurologically. Lightworkers tend to be uniquely sensitive the their environment. Migraine headaches are one example, though not all migraine sufferers are lightworkers. Understand and accept your limitations. Learn about energy shielding, grounding, and creating healthy boundaries.

2. Learn more about lightworkers and how your gifts may be brought to light. Earth Angels by Doreen Virtue is a good book, and there are several others out there. Reach out to our spiritual guides and angels; ask them to help you find your purpose here.

3. Forgive the past. Many lightworkers had difficult childhoods. Understanding the past is the past and can no longer hurt you is the first step. Forgiving yourself and those who hurt you will be next.

4. Get support through a mentor, or find your soul family. Your physical family isn’t necessarily your “real” family that you have lived other lifetimes with. Members of your soul family might be strangers, but meeting them will feel like you’ve known them forever. Being with them will feel like coming home.

Telephone & Inperson Readings

As you may or may not be aware, I have been unable to offer one on one sessions for the past month or so due to a city construction project. My street is incredibly noisy during the day, making it impossible for me to do readings or healing sessions at this time. The city is replacing gas and water lines and resurfacing the street. I was only given a few days notice of the project, and work is expected to go into August. I did receive a notice recently that they may finish early, but we have also had a lot of rain, which I’m sure pushes the project back a bit. Personally, I have been really struggling with migraine headaches this summer, and that makes getting work done a bit more difficult as well.

While I am unable to offer individual sessions, I am offering more email readings per week. Though, the readings I put online yesterday sold out within a few hours. I am also working on a few projects that I hope to have online in the future.

If you are looking for a good reading in the meantime, I have had good readings through Psychic Access. Thus far, I have found them to be a reputable company who actually checks out the psychics they display on their site, and I have had two good readings there myself.
