Well, it has been a crazy couple of weeks! My schedule has been very busy to the point of it taking more than a week to respond to calls and emails. As many of you may know, I struggle with migraine headaches. I know some of my triggers but not all. I met with a headache specialist last week who urged me to take some time off from readings, especially since the summer humidity is one of my triggers. I was reluctantly planning to take some time off beginning later in July or early August. However, I think God has decided I should listen to my doctor.
Very early Saturday morning, my basement flooded to almost eight inches in some areas within only two hours of time. We were up all night and the next day trying to fight the flood and save what we could, but we lost a lot. My husbands computer is gone, a couch, television, guitar amp, a large portion of my book collection and so much more. Basically, my office is in no shape for me to comfortably perform readings. I’d been getting messages from my guides to remove clutter from my life, but I didn’t think that meant 1/3 of what I own! I am very sad about the loss, especially because none of our personal property is protected under our insurance due to the cause being water damage. We were already thinking of moving, and of course I was also asking for a sign to confirm my feelings on that … I don’t think the sign could be any more obvious at this point! I just wish I’d figured it out without having the message be so drastic. It is devastating, really, but I know this has happened for a reason. I just hope the reason turns out to be good in the end. 
In light of my current circumstance, I will be taking my sabbatical beginning now. I’m going to have to make some updates to my site yet to let people know my services are not immediately available. The plan is to resume sessions in early September, probably after school starts. In the meantime, I’ll be working on some other projects that allow me to express my creative side which is one thing I teach as being oh so important to creating miracles in our lives. Creative expression and joy can do amazing things, and that’s what I’m praying for!
