“I have just gone through another heartbreak recently, I am in general very happy and passionate person, got wonderful friends in my life and have basically survived a lot of things in my life. My question is, is there someone , a soulmate, coming into my life one day? I am now a little scared that I will end up alone… I also did not get any children…maybe I’m just grieving?” – Suzanne
Dear Suzanne,
It’s natural to grieve with the loss of any type of relationship. I chose your question because of what you said about not getting any children, though. Are you sure you didn’t get any children? I know you’re thinking, “Uh, how could I not realize I had children?” But, I’m not talking about going through labor and all that; I’m talking about being a mother to others. You’ve done that, and you still do it. Maybe you haven’t realized it before now, but think about it.
You will have relationships that come and go. You are one of those people that come and go out of other people’s lives when they seem to need you most. For you personally, life is about freedom and change, but you are very much a humanitarian at a soul level. You want to hold onto the people that come into your life, but sometimes they aren’t meant to stay there for whatever reason. You have had soulmates in your life … some of them romantic, some of them like children, and some of them like friends. You will have more, and some of them will stay while others will go. It’s okay to grieve, though. That’s normal, but take heart in knowing life will bring you more changes and more relationships down the road.
