“My 5 year old son seems to be a Jekyll and Hyde. I would like to know how I can help him. Do you feel he it may be more related to health issues (allergies) or just a personality thing. He coughs a lot if has been upset. I am considering taking him to a healer. Do you feel this would be the right direction to take. Thank you I appreciate you taking the time to read this …”
Ah, yes you have quite the little fighter on your hands!
He does seem to have a problem with excess mucus – probably allergies or possibly asthma, but there’s more than that going on here. Your son will always fight for what he thinks is the right way to do something, and he will not be afraid to tell someone they’re wrong – authority figure or not. This can be tough for a parent to handle, but I want to assure you his gifts can be a very good thing. Your son can be a wonderful asset to our world. We need young leaders like him. He is also an old soul that hasn’t been part of our world in quite some time. That will make it difficult for him to understand certain things and adapt to certain situations. Especially when it comes to dealing with authority figures he does not respect, your son will struggle. But, it’s not really that he doesn’t respect them in the way you might think. He is probably older than these individuals in a spiritual sense, but he hasn’t yet learned how to be cooperative and diplomatic in his communications, and that will take time. He has a lot to learn.
The challenge here is to help your son deal with being in this world and understanding how we work as a society. He needs to learn what’s appropriate and what’s expected of him. It is difficult for him to adapt, but he has only been here a few years. He needs time, constant teaching and patience.
You are not alone in your trials. I’ve talked to many parents who have worked with or are parenting these children; there are many children like this – including my own son. You may have heard of Indigo Children or Transitional Children. I don’t agree with labeling children in any way as I’ve personally seen these “labels” overlap and contradict each other, but you may find reading about Indigo Children, Crystal Children and Transitional Children would help give you ideas on how to work with your son. If nothing else, I’m sure you’ll see that you’re most definitely not alone.
Energy healing can work wonders with these children. Coloring mandalas is also a great meditative exercise for them; it helps them to center and focus. You might also want to check out Lori Lite of Stress Free Kids. Lori has created some wonderful products which you might find quite useful.
Bath time can provide a unique opportunity to try out different methods. I’ve seen several products out there you can use to color bath water. Red water is great for grounding energy. Purple/blue is for calming. You can also use flower essences, essential oils and crystals. The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall
is one of my favorite books on crystals, and I’ve found using crystals to be one of the best methods of helping these children. My son loves crystals. He even makes his own “potions”!
One of the most important ways to help your child is to make sure they get outside in nature. Let them get dirty and walk with bare feet in the grass. Let them connect with nature. Children are sensitive to the energies in nature, and it does their souls good to have that connection. I’ve taught my son about fairies (nature angels), and we put together our own fairy garden. He finds peace when he visits his special garden.
I myself struggled with own son’s Jeckyll and Hyde behavior, and sometimes it’s still a challenge, but you just have to be patient and have some ways to handle the outbursts. They need to have some sort of control over their environment, so allowing them little decisions like what outfit to wear or what to have for dinner can be helpful. Give him special places to “think” or go inside himself. Make sure he gets plenty of time outside. Learn about energy healing. You can even teach him about using energy to calm himself. Again, I highly recommend checking out Lori Lite of Stress Free Kids. I’m sure there are other products, but I have personally found success with Lori’s work.
Archangel Metatron and Archangel Gabrielle are two archangels to call on when you need some extra help. Allow your son to express himself creatively, too. Give him opportunities to experiment with music, and fill his crayon box with every color imaginable.
One last thing I’d like to share with you is that you will be okay, and so will your son. Relax a little. He will not grow up to be a holy terror. Teach him patience and most of all love, and he will be just fine.
Angel Blessings to you and your son ~ Sheri
