“I have been trying to get a new job for over a year (I am currently employed but had a large pay cut last year and I have been very unhappy with how my boss has treated me) I have interviewed with a number of places and have even made it to the second interview. I have felt with a number of these places that I was going to get the job and another psychic had confirmed my feelings but then the jobs slip away and I don’t get them. What is happening and how can I manifest a new job?”

This is a question I hear over and over again. Even my best friend is going through this same type of situation. It’s not so easy to see our way ahead with career anymore – even for a psychic. So much has happened and is continuing to happen within our economy and within our world. Dynamics are changing. Expectations are changing. Realities are changing. Things we thought could never happen have happened; events we once believed impossible have become probable.

What does this mean? It means that pathways which were once clear are no longer, but paths that once seemed only a dream can in fact become reality. You were supposed to do something some time ago. I don’t know if this is what’s holding you back on the job front, but it has created a block between your expectations and reality a bit. I can tell you’re creative … artistic … an artist in your spare time maybe? This side of you isn’t so much hidden as it is underutilized. Your “job” is how you support your family, but your creative side is the real you. I don’t know how this side of you can be incorporated into your job, and maybe it can’t be – at least not physically, anyway. But, how can you bring the emotion and energy of this side of yourself into your work?

You seem to have given up on your current environment. I know it’s not an ideal situation. I can tell. Your boss seems … well, let’s be nice and say she’s less than what a boss should be. However, you have allowed this woman to have more power over you than is necessary, and it wasn’t always this way … was it? She seems a bit of a tyrant, but I also think she’s afraid of you. Sometimes people bring out their nasty side to make themselves feel like they have more power over a situation or person because they know deep down they are actually powerless. Your boss is this kind of person.

The best advice I can give to you right now is not to give up and be more yourself than you have been. There have been opportunities that have passed you by for one reason or another. I think there was at least one position you appeared overqualified for. Some of this could also be because of changes within the companies you interviewed with. It is a problem that companies are constantly undecided about what they are doing. What department(s) should we keep? Should we create this new position? Many times, they’ve wasted their own time and that of those they’ve interviewed because the position is no more. It’s backwards, I know, but it is happening. Keep your eyes open for opportunities, and keep interviewing, but don’t completely check out at your current job. I know it’s difficult. You dread going to sleep at night because you know tomorrow is another day at this job, but things will change. It’s just going to take some time. Find ways to bring the real side of yourself into your job, and try your best not to give up any more power to the tyrant of a boss you have. I think there is something of past life connection between the two of you as well. This may very well be an opportunity for you to overcome some time of karmic challenge. Chances are this type of energy would follow you to a new job. The grass always looks greener, but there are always bugs in that grass.

As for this artistic side of yourself, I know you have real talent. Why don’t you show your work? Why don’t you show who you are? I don’t think it’s so much a big secret that you enjoy it, but you don’t develop it. You don’t show the world who you are. Are you hiding behind reality? As I said earlier, now is a time when events we once believed impossible have become probable, and pathways that once seemed only a dream can in fact become reality. Maybe you don’t believe in yourself, but maybe you should.

Angel Blessings,

Sheri
