I’m sorry, but this is not going to end well. As things look right now, your husband is not going to choose but will stay with both of you – no matter what “promises” he gives. Do not trust his promises. So many people feel that they have to stay when children are involved, but you really have to ask yourself what message you want to send to your kids – and yourself. Do you really think this is the kind of man you deserve? You can’t possibly believe you deserve this. If you do, please un-believe it! I know you still have feelings for him. I do understand that, but my advice to you is to not be a victim anymore. I don’t know why, but your husband feels like his actions are … well, almost justified. It’s like he doesn’t think he’s wrong in the way he should think he’s wrong. And, in his mind, he’s married to both of you.
There was once a purpose to this marriage, but maybe the only purpose left now is for you to think better of yourself and want better for yourself – and for your children.
