Thank you for your question. Archangels are actually not assigned to any one person but can give aid to any person or all people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All you have to do is ask. Guardian Angels, on the other hand, are assigned to individual people and are in charge of protecting that person. In my experience, every person has at least 2-3 guardians and usually more. Spirit Guides are assigned to individual people as well, but they can change throughout your lifetime.
One of the most common misconceptions about Archangels is that you have to know which one to ask for help. Archangels are like department store supervisors; they each have their specialty, but asking the wrong specialist will still get you help. Although, now that I think about it, it doesn’t always work that way in department stores.

Archangel Michael – courage and protection; helps with changes (many times seen as a bluish/purplish light)
Archangel Gabrielle – nurturing and children, communication and the arts
Archangel Raphael – physical healing; also helps healers find money for education, brings in clients, and anything to do with helping the healer to heal (green light)
Archangel Uriel – “psychologist angel” – emotional healing; sheds positive energy onto any situation; also for travel and world healing (golden light)
Archangel Metatron – Crystal and Indigo Children, Sacred Geometry, Abundance; was prophet and scribe Enoch from the Bible in his life on Earth.
Archangel Sandalphon – Carries prayers to Heaven; was Prophet Elijah.
