“I am so scared right now of failure that I’m not sure what to do. I have had an entrepreneural spirit since I was a very young girl and I am now getting ready to open a small candle shop and cafe in my area. I am working on a shoestring and my doubts threaten to kill my dreams of following through. Any advice?”

You’re right! Your thoughts are threatening to kill your dreams, but they are just that … thoughts. Change them! I see both the possibility of success and failure. There is a lot of fear surrounding failure. You need to remember that fear can be a nasty illusion. Ask your angels and guides for clarity so that you can discern reality from illusion. Physical exercise and meditation can also help clear your mind.

I see that the cafe aspect of your business will be what draws people to your location. There is something unique that you are doing. I’m not sure if this is who you are catering to? No, that’s not it. It’s more like your niche. What is it that you’re selling besides the sandwiches and candles? There is were success lies. And, of course, you’ve got to change those thoughts!

Thoughts create words which create action. Action creates reaction. What kind of reaction do you want? Visualize that. Create a vision board displaying your cafe and everything you envision success in your business to be. You are feeling as though failure here means failure somewhere (or with someone) else, too. You are misplacing some of your fear. And, some of this fear also has to do with self-worth. Don’t you know you deserve to be happy? Don’t you know that you deserve independence and security? Don’t you know? The face of your desires is currently your cafe and candle shop, but it’s had several faces in the past. You are being given another opportunity to grow, learn and overcome something from the past. Figure out where this misplaced fear is coming from, too. It will be easier to deal with once you recognize it for what it really is.

Over all, I think you need to go over your business plan with someone … maybe a professional or maybe someone else that may be helping financially with the business. It is possible for you to find a business partner, though he/she will probably be a silent partner meaning financial backer. You need to have more confidence in what you are doing before jumping in. If you’ve already jumped in, it’s not too late to think and clarify your plans. You don’t need to be doing this all on your own. You’re not alone, and you only need ask for help.
