Archangel Raphael Angel Card Extended Description - Messages from Your Angels Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue

Archangel Raphael is the archangel of physical healing.  His light is emerald green.

This card signifies the presence of Archangel Raphael in your life.  He may be here to help you with your own physical health and challenges, or he may be calling you forth to help with the healing of others.

Raphael is the angelic leader for all healers in our world.  His protective and healing light surrounds all those who offer their healing hand to others.  Whether you are a doctor, nurse, massage therapist or Reiki Master, Archangel Raphael is here to offer aid in whatever way he can assist you with your life’s mission.  He can help you find money to further your education and even connect you with clients who need your help.

If you are a healer, Raphael is telling you that you’re not alone on this journey, and he is here if only you will ask for his help.

If you are in need of physical healing, ask Archangel Raphael to surround you with his healing light.  Close your eyes and envision emerald green energy flowing into your body with every breathe, healing and restoring you from the inside out.

You must have a strong connection to Archangel Raphael’s healing energy, Vijendra. He does work closely with those who are healers. 😉

Why does healing take so long though? I’ve been healing (or trying to) for 20 years. I’ve called on all divine beings to heal me and I’ve put my heart and soul into it. I’ve kept my energy open and positive, I’ve maintained my faith throughout and I’ve made all the changes they’ve guided me to make. I’m not complaining, just wondering… how do we know when the healing process is complete? Will I feel differently? (This is regarding the trauma of childhood sex abuse)

      Hi S,

I have wondered that myself over the years. I believe that we have a lot of damage and hurt from things especially trauma and we can’t release it all at one time because we couldn’t handle it all. I think we heal in layers and we have many just like an onion does. Plus as we go through life new things come up and can affect us. We can store new hurt, anger, frustration, sadness, grief, etc. I mean after all we are human and far from perfect. We have things we need to learn this lifetime too and I don’t believe the lessons come all at one time. So as we walk our path no matter how spiritual we become I believe there is always something new to learn.

As far as feeling differently I believe that once healed from a certain situation we no longer feel threatened or become upset, sad, etc when the subject comes up. For example if a certain person made you angry and you realized that it was really about something that happened in your childhood that caused you to feel unsafe. If you got the the bottom of it and healed the anger plus the safety part then things with the person would no longer bother you or raise anything within you. That is just my thoughts.

Here are a couple articles on healing http://www.angelmessenger.net/emotional-healing/ and http://www.angelmessenger.net/how-to-exemplify-true-forgiveness-an-overwhelming-example

      Many blessings to you!

Great response, Annemarie. I completely agree. Healing can take a lifetime or even multiple lifetimes. Don’t pressure yourself into feeling like it all needs to happen today. I’ve learned that myself. Healing happens in a spiral, and we many times come back to the same issue. Just be patient with yourself and your journey. We are all souls on a journey. None of us are meant to be perfect, and that perfect healing may not be what we expect. Especially with childhood trauma, I can tell you from experience that it is very important to focus on feeling safe and honoring your feelings. I hope this helps. <3

Healing is a process. The journey of the healing process is the reward… Not the end result. Healing does not have a happy ending, because it never ends. If you are healing, then you are in the healing process. It is my opinion that healing is ongoing. No one is ever truly healed as a human creature, we are all healing, not healed. You have to assimilate what happened to you as fact, circumstances that cannot be changed and use it to fuel your change in the present. Take filth, turn it into clean. Happiness lies inside your own heart, in the here and now, not some “what if” future of yours where you are healed. Trust me, at the very least, these traumas are not still happening to you 20 years later, be happy that these awful traumas are over. I Love You. God be with you.💞

Of course Forgiveness, there is that significant factor that I left out of the mix. Forgiveness is key to facilitating healing. No one has a care free life. We must embrace the uncomfortable parts of life to grow. Evolution!

Thank you for sharing, LeeAnn. Accepting that the traumas are over is a major part of healing, though that can be a difficult place to come to as well – especially for those with PTSD. Forgiveness played a significant role in my own journey as well. However, I didn’t know about boundaries … when you forgive, don’t forget boundaries. Forgiveness is great, but as I learned the hard way, you’ve got to make clear what you will and will not accept for yourself … because those people who hurt us need to evolve too. 😉
